I'm still coming down off cloud 9 after passing first time with Jen Harper this week. As a forty-something year old first time learner, I was really nervous about learning - that whole thing about you become more fearful as you get older as you're more aware of what can go wrong. 
Jen put me at ease straight away - she's professional yet friendly and I challenge anyone not to enjoy a lesson with her! 
Lessons themselves were well thought-out, well structured, well explained and I always knew what the plan for the next lesson was going to be. If I was feeling unsure of something then Jen would happily let us change things up to do more of that, and she'd also take advantage of any real-life scenarios we came across when driving. 
Jen is a very good judge of ability - she'll push you when it's needed (e.g. just your confidence holding you back) but she'll also let you know when you need more practice at something. Booking your practical test is a two-way conversation, but if you're pushing too early for it she'll let you know.
What makes Jen a great instructor is that she's always continuing to learn - whether it be a comment about something she's read or watched, or her willingness to just try something different, like observation points on a manoeuvre.
I am genuinely going to miss spending time with Jen on a Monday morning. As would be expected from all of her reviews, she has a waiting list, but she's well worth the wait.
